We are dedicated to guiding students through their time at Oklahoma State University
and making it as smooth and rewarding as possible. Starting college is exciting, and
we can't wait to be part of your academic journey. Our first-year advisors specialize
in giving you the extra help needed as you transition to life at OSU. If you're unsure about which major to choose, our exploratory advisors can help you
discover the best fit for you. Once you settle and begin classes, the LASSO Center provides tutoring and other
academic support to help you feel confident about your course material.
Planning your journey
with first-year advisors
- You'll be paired with a first-year academic advisor during orientation and enrollment.
- Your advisor will listen to you, connect your interests with your strengths and help you choose courses that prepare you for success.
- You have unlimited access to your advisor and can go to them with any questions, concerns or challenges throughout the year.
- Your advisor can point you to available organizations and resources all over campus for various interests and needs.
Discovering new paths
with exploratory advisors
- If you are still deciding on your major, that's okay. Exploratory advisors are ready to help.
- Any student across campus can meet with an exploratory advisor.
- Our advisors will help you examine a major's required academics and possible career paths.

Peers helping peers
at the LASSO Center
The LASSO Center is the largest student-led academic resource on campus and provides
free tutoring and Supplemental Instruction (SI) for all OSU students. It offers one-on-one
tutoring virtually and in person. Additionally, SI sessions are led by a student and
provide an interactive group study environment. The LASSO Center is a great place
to prep for exams, clarify questions and master course material.
Preparing future plans
with Pre-Professional Health & Law Support Services
Pre-Professional Health & Law Support Services provides resources for OSU students
and recent alumni who are considering and planning futures in health care and law.
Resources for pre-professional health are available for typical medical care and veterinarian
care, and services are available to OSU students, regardless of major. Assistance
is provided at all stages of the pre-professional process, from career exploration
to professional school matriculation.
