Welcome to Oklahoma State University!

University College Advising (UCA) is a student-centered office with professional advisors who work closely with you to plan your academic future. We will also connect you to resources that can help you achieve success here at OSU and beyond.

Orientation & Enrollment is the first step towards ensuring a smooth transition to college life. UCA’s priority during orientation and enrollment is to enroll each of our students in an appropriate class schedule for next semester. This includes meeting one-on-one with your advisor to discuss your academic goals.

Preparing for Enrollment

  • If you have completed the ACT or SAT make sure to submit documentation to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to better determine remediation needs in Math, Science, English, and Reading.
  • Submit your final high school transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • If you have completed any college courses, have transcripts sent from the college who awarded credit in addition to your high school transcript. If you are currently enrolled in college courses, email a copy of your schedule to uca@okstate.edu.
  • If you have not sent AP Test scores to OSU, visit the CollegeBoard website to do so.
  • If you applied for admission with “Undecided” as your major, you may be able to declare your major on your Admissions Portal.
  • Check your OSU email often. Log in at cowboymail.okstate.edu
  • If you need physical or educational accommodations, please contact Student Accessibility Services. Be prepared to discuss your needs with your advisor at your enrollment appointment so that they can help you build a class schedule that will promote success.

  • Remediation

Certain subject areas (English, math, reading, and science) have enrollment restrictions based on standards set by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Students who do not meet those requirements may have to complete additional testing or coursework to demonstrate course-readiness.

Your advisor will help you understand what is required of you and what your options are.

Additional information about course placement and remediation processes can be found on the University Assessment & Testing website.
