The Office of Transfer Student Services is committed to serving transfer students by helping them prepare for rewarding academic experiences, assisting them as they transition to Oklahoma State University, and promoting their progress toward graduation.

Our objective is for transfer students to have a space where they can receive advisement advice, registration advice, and overall student support. The space also provides a community space for transfer students. Our goals are as follows: • Establish Transfer Agreements with all Oklahoma two year institutions • Establishment of a Transfer Center • Tau Sigma • Transfer Student Organization

Check your application status

International Students

All transcripts, test scores, correspondence or other materials submitted in conjunction with an application for admission become the permanent property of the University and will not be returned. Should you need copies of your transcripts for other purposes, you must obtain them from the originating institution(s).

Guidelines

A transfer student is one who has attempted a minimum of 7 semester hours of college-level credit after graduation from high school. If you have attempted less than 7 hours, please refer to the admission requirements above.

Admissions Documents Required:

  1. Completed Admission/Scholarship application and $40 nonrefundable application fee
  2. Official transcript (print date must be less than three months old) from each college or university attended
  3. Official high school transcript containing your class rank, grade-point average, ACT or SAT scores and graduation date if you have less than 24 college-level credit hours
Credit Hours Attempted* Admission Requirements
7-23 credit hours Freshman admission requirements and 2.25 GPA
24-59 credit hours 2.25 GPA
More than 60 hours or associate degree 2.0 GPA

*excluding incomplete, passing grades (ex: "P" or "S"), remedial/developmental, repeated/forgiven credit and activity courses.

Students who don't meet transfer admission requirements but feel their past academic performance is not indicative of their ability to succeed in college can submit a petition for admission on probation.

Transfer probation petitions must be submitted by noon the Thursday before the start of the term for which you have applied. Once your petition has been evaluated, you will be notified of the admission decision as soon as possible. If you have questions about the petition process, contact us at 800-233-5019.
