Taking the LSAT

If you're considering law school, you'll likely need to take the LSAT (or maybe the GRE) as part of your application process.

We recognize sometimes it's hard to set aside time to take a full practice exam, so we're offering the opportunity to put it on your calendar to join a small group of your peers in taking a fully timed LSAT.

Check the calendar to see when we're holding the next Mock LSAT.  Most test days we offer the opportunity to take the LSAT and also the LSAT Writing portion. You may sign up for the LSAT and the Writing or just take one or the other.

Pre-registration through CampusLink is required, as space is limited. Pre-registration opens 2 weeks before each Mock test date.

Mock LSAT FAQs

Student sitting at an empty table staring intently at laptop screen.
  • Which LSAT will we be taking?
    • We will be using the free prep tests from LawHub (these are previously given LSAT exams).
    • Depending on where you are in your test prep journey (just starting/exploring v. middle/end of test prep) you may have taken one or some of the free tests from LawHub already.
    • If you have already completed all four of the free exams, please reach out to our office (preprofessional@okstate.edu) to discuss your options.
  • Which LSAT Writing will we take?
We will be using an actual LSAT Writing prompt. If you are taking the LSAT before Aug. 2024, we will be providing you an older prompt so you may come back and use the prompt in LawHub later in your test prep. If you are planning for the LSAT in Aug. 2024 or beyond, we will be using the prompt from LawHub, as there are changes to the writing and we do not currently have an additional bank of practice questions.
  • What to do before the Mock LSAT?
    • Make sure you have a free account with LawHub. If you have questions with the sign up, stop by our office and we can help you! (040SU Basement)
    • If you have already taken all four free exams through LawHub, reach out (preprofessional@okstate.edu) to discuss your prep test options.
    • Relax, if you're already studying - continue doing that. If you haven't started yet, come in and take your test "cold-turkey." No practice is required before your Mock LSAT.
  • What is on the LSAT?
Visit our Preparing for the LSAT webpage to learn more about what's on the LSAT, how to register, test prep ideas and more!
  • What do you need to bring?
    • A laptop (you may borrow from OSU's library) and a power plug.
    • Pens/pencils (we will provide scratch paper)
  • What not to bring?
    • We will be simulating a test day experience, but understand you are on campus and may have classes.
    • We will ask you to turn your phone on silent for the duration of the Mock test and to remove your watch (if applicable).
    • You may bring foam ear plugs, but not noise canceling headphones.
